Current Favorite Scandinavian Rugs

This post contains adlinks.

If there’s one thing I love, it’s Scandinavian rugs, especially those large ones that make a statement and define the entire room.

Many people might be hesitant to use large rugs when decorating, but the truth is, you often need a bigger rug than you think.

Imagine your dining area or living room. All the furniture in the “furniture group” should be on the rug, either with all their legs or just the front legs. This creates a sense of unity and makes the room feel balanced.

And last but not least, rugs are the best trick for adding coziness and warmth to a room!

I’ve collected some of my current favorites in this post, hope you enjoy. 💜

Fluffy Wool Rugs

These wool rugs from Scandinavian Tinted Objects are absolutely stunning. They are fluffy with geometric patterns. Tinted Objects’ vision is to create home decor that lasts a lifetime, and wool rugs are a perfect example of a long-lasting rug!

Wool rugs are both durable and resistant to dirt.

Fun Jute Rugs

Jute Border - Nordic Knots

I discovered this amazing rug at one of my favorite Instagram accounts, @doneriet. A classic jute rug is always a great choice, and this one, with its checkered border, adds an extra fun touch, making it even better. Jute is a fantastic material that is easy to care for and adds a natural element to your decor.

Dusk Jute Rug - Layered x Evelina Kroon

The fantastic collaboration between Swedish brand Layered and Evelina Kroon includes a range of jute rugs featuring Evelina’s signature patterns. These rugs have been incredibly popular, and it’s easy to see why. This rug is perfect for those who want a durable and simple piece, yet aren’t afraid to make a bold statement in their room.

Color- and Playful Rugs

Lilly Wool Rug - Layered

This rug from Layered has been on my wish list for far too long. I love the warm red color combined with the pattern, a design that feels both retro and modern at the same time.

Every time I see it in someone’s home, I become more convinced that I must have it! It also comes in a wonderful warm mustard yellow if red isn’t your color.

Square Tobacco - Nordic Knots

I can imagine this wonderful rug in many mid-century modern styled homes. In all its simplicity, this wool rug from Nordic Knots adds a lot of character. The black and brown combination is my favorite.

Scallop Wool Rug - Layered

Who says rugs have to have straight edges? I love this playful rug, which comes in several fun color combinations. As shown in the picture, this rug can be the perfect way to add color to a neutral base.

I imagine this one being a perfect choice for a kids playroom too!
